Vascular IPL Training — In-Office Angiomas & Spider Veins | École Marignan Paris
École Marignan — Vascular Laser Training

Eliminate angiomas
and spider veins
in your office starting tomorrow

Patients show you their small vessels, angiomas, and couperose. You refer them out. With this one-day training, you treat them directly — using vascular laser. No peeling, no scarring. The light targets the vessel. Nothing else. 2 practitioners per session — fully supervised by Dr. Freiss.

Clinical Context

A common demand,
a response often
referred out

Cherry angiomas, telangiectasias, spider veins, couperose — your patients ask about them regularly. IPL treats them effectively. And you have the medical qualifications to start practicing tomorrow.

01

Benign lesions in high demand

Cherry angiomas, leg spider veins, facial couperose — your patients ask about them regularly. These are quick, well-tolerated procedures with a high impact on patient satisfaction.

02

No mandatory university diploma (DU) for physicians

The use of IPL is restricted to physicians in France. No additional diploma is required by law. You need the protocol, the technique, and the appropriate settings for each lesion.

03

Seamless in-office integration

No operating room, no heavy equipment. Medical-grade IPL and proven protocols — you can offer these treatments starting the following week.

Treated Indications

What you learn
to treat in one day

Four of the most common types of vascular lesions — diagnosed and treated with IPL under the direct supervision of Dr. Freiss.

Lesion #1

Cherry angiomas

Small red punctate vascular lesions, very common after age 30. Fast treatment, effective in just 1 to 2 sessions.

Indicative Pricing Guideline
€80 – €150
Per session depending on the number of lesions — out-of-pocket pricing
Lesion #2

Lower extremity spider veins

Small red or bluish vessels on the leg surface. IPL is indicated for fine spider veins — 2 to 3 session protocol.

Indicative Pricing Guideline
€150 – €300
Per session depending on the treated area
Lesion #3

Couperose & telangiectasias

Diffuse redness and facial micro-vessels — early-stage rosacea, nasal couperose. IPL is the gold standard treatment.

Indicative Pricing Guideline
€150 – €250
Visible results from the very first session

Regulatory note. Non-reimbursed medical procedures, out-of-pocket pricing. Fee setting remains at your discretion. Practice requires professional liability insurance (RCP) covering laser/IPL procedures — verify with your insurer.

The Training

One day to master
vascular IPL from A to Z

Laser physics, parameter selection, lesion assessment, technique on real patients — everything in one day, under the exact conditions of your future practice.

IPL Physics

Principles of selective photothermolysis, spectral windows, light-tissue interaction. Understand the science to adjust settings safely.

Assessment & Classification

Cherry angiomas, telangiectasias, spider veins, rosacea — diagnostic criteria, IPL indications vs. strict contraindications.

Settings & Parameters

Fluence, pulse duration, filter selection based on lesion and Fitzpatrick phototype. Proven protocols for each lesion type.

Phototype Management

Patch testing, adapting protocols for dark skin tones, dyschromia risks — safety protocols integrated into every step.

Hands-on Practice on 3 Live Models

Perform the full procedure under Dr. Freiss's direct supervision, with real-time feedback on every pulse.

Follow-up & Complications

Post-treatment guidelines, re-evaluation criteria, managing side effects. Patient communication, informed consent, traceability.

1

Morning — Clinical-Integrated Theory

IPL physics, lesion classification, protocols — reviewed directly using clinical cases. No purely theoretical lectures.

2

Afternoon — You Treat, Dr. Freiss Supervises

3 live models, 3 distinct lesion types. Full procedure — parameters, technique, immediate post-care — individualized correction on every pulse.

3

Leave Fully Operational

Written protocols, parameter charts by lesion type, template consent forms. Everything you need to start treating the following week.

2 physicians per session — no more. Dr. Freiss provides continuous, direct oversight. Every setting discussed, every tissue response evaluated.

Curriculum

1 Day. 6 Modules.
From physics to hands-on technique on real patients.

The first three modules take place in the classroom with live demonstrations. The next three take place in the treatment room on real patients.

Dr. Rebecca Freiss

"Vascular IPL is one of the most rewarding procedures — results are visible during the session. What I pass on is how to read the lesions and achieve setting precision."

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical information
and prerequisites

Can a physician practice IPL without a specialized university laser diploma (DU)?

Yes. The aesthetic use of IPL in France is restricted to physicians, with no legal requirement for a specific university diploma. Your medical degree is sufficient. The Medical Association recommends tailored training — which is precisely the purpose of this day. Ensure that your professional liability insurance covers laser and IPL procedures.

Who is this training for?

For physicians looking to integrate the treatment of vascular lesions into their practice. Prior experience in aesthetic medicine is appreciated but not mandatory. The training adapts to your skill level right from the initial consultation.

Why only 2 physicians per session?

IPL is a precision technique — every pulse must be delivered by you, not just observed. With 2 participants, Dr. Freiss keeps her eyes on you at all times. Every setting is discussed, and every tissue response is evaluated. This level of supervision makes all the difference.

Which IPL machine is used during the training?

You will practice on Maison Marignan's professional medical IPL machine. At the end of the training, we will provide equipment recommendations based on your budget and expected patient volume.

What are the registration details?

Registration via the online form. We get back to you within 48 hours to confirm the date. A 30% deposit (€1,047 excl. VAT) upon confirmation. Quotes available for funding support or continuing medical education programs.
